Andy Plantaz
Starting as a Sales Engineer, Andy has steadily risen through the ranks, attributing much of his success to the support and opportunities provided by Trelleborg. During our conversation, he reflected on his experiences with the company and shared valuable advice for those embarking on their professional paths.
Share your career path at Trelleborg and how the company supported your growth.
I began my career in 2002 as a Sales Engineer for a small distribution company, AFM Incorporated. In 2007, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions acquired AFM, and that’s when I became part of the Trelleborg team. I worked as a Sales Engineer for 15 years, covering the Northern California and Nevada territory. In 2017, I was promoted to Sales Manager for the Western Region overseeing sales across all Western states.
In June 2024, I took a chance and transitioned to Trelleborg Medical Solutions as the Regional Sales Director. Trelleborg has been instrumental in my professional growth, trusting my abilities to lead, mentor, and drive success with the support of our leadership.
I’d also like to add that working for Trelleborg has felt like being part of a family. Everyone genuinely cares about the well-being of the people in this organization, as well as the growth and future of the company.
