Share your career path at Trelleborg and how the company supported your growth:

I joined the Business Unit Seals & Profiles in June 2021 as a Sustainability Business Analyst, a newly created role designed to address growing requirements and expectations in the sustainability space. In this position, I was responsible for coordinating sustainability reporting and KPIs, developing our CO2 reduction roadmap, and managing a variety of sustainability projects. Over time, I sought a transition into Operations to gain more hands-on experience. My manager and his team were incredibly supportive, providing me with the opportunity to coordinate Safety topics for the Business Unit. This eventually led to a position at one of our manufacturing sites in Ohio, where I could work directly on safety-related initiatives. The close collaboration between locations and HR was instrumental in uncovering this opportunity.

The annual People Engagement and Performance review with my manager has been a critical tool for identifying my next steps and mapping out the path forward. Equally valuable are the everyday conversations with my more experienced colleagues, whose mentorship, guidance, and constructive challenges help me grow. To me, this reflects a key cultural value, and I truly feel fortunate to work in an environment where so many experienced individuals share their knowledge and support my development every day.

What aspects do you think make Trelleborg an attractive employer?

I find the extensive learning programs at Trelleborg University to be a valuable aspect of Trelleborg's people development. In my first year, I was nominated to participate in a 1-year-long Graduate Program aimed at developing young talents. It was a fantastic experience early in my career, as I had the opportunity to learn about self-development, Trelleborg as a company, business strategy, and leadership, while also building a network within the company. The great thing is that there are development programs for every career phase. Feeling that the focus on learning and development is genuine, and not just talk, makes Trelleborg an attractive employer.

Why would you recommend Trelleborg to someone beginning their professional career?

I highly recommend Trelleborg as an employer for young professionals. People development and learning are deeply embedded in Trelleborg's culture and routines. The extensive learning programs provide opportunities for theoretical learning, alongside on-the-job training and mentorship. Additionally, with operations in countries across the globe, Trelleborg offers a highly diverse workplace. Working in this multicultural environment has been an exciting experience that has enhanced my cultural competence and global awareness, contributing to both personal and professional growth. I have enjoyed every step of my journey with Trelleborg so far and look forward to continuing it.
