Trelleborg rock curtains are designed using a multi-layer reinforced panel construction, reinforced anchor points and abrasion resistant rubber for tough mining environments.
The rock curtains on a scalping screen of our Pilbara iron ore client were lasting a little more than a week due to excessive wear and the curtains tearing. This resulted in unnecessary unproductive downtime and maintenance costs. Trelleborg designed a solution incorporating multi-layer reinforced construction panels, reinforced anchor points and abrasion resistant rubber the equivalent to the screen panel with a resultant life of close to 10 months. Our client deemed this a major success, and we now offer our innovative rock curtains to the rest of the mining industry.
